I lead an engineering team in Berlin. The career underneath that runs through several kinds of software: a management system for a pharmaceutical business as a first real project, client work on a consulting engagement early on, and nowlarge-scale attribution infrastructure — the layer of a product that has to be correct more than it has to be clever, where the honest answer is never fully available and the participants are not neutral.

These days I lead a team rather than write most of the code. I lead through process, not presence — if something only works because I’m in the room, it isn’t working, it’s being carried. The part I care most about is growing engineers, which has not gotten easier as the tooling improved.

I'm building a consumer product whose design is mostly subtraction — the constraints are the product. Orka is an experiment in handing an agent the whole delivery loop rather than the coding step.

Both are also how I test what I think about AI-assisted engineering. I’d rather find out where coding agents break on my own projects than theorise about it —what that setup looks like.

I grew up in India and live in Berlin. The city is the base rather than the backdrop — dancing, training, music, and a lot of people in an ordinary week — and the other half of living here is leaving it regularly. Somewhere around thirty countries so far, mostly in short bursts. Some of that is here.
